Live fire training exercise Saturday along Wait Avenue

The Wake Forest Fire Department (WFFD) will conduct a live fire training exercise Saturday, May 10, from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. at a donated structure located at 1621 Wait Avenue.

Personnel from WFFD, Wake Technical Community College, and Wake County EMS will participate in the exercise. 

The WFFD attempts to conduct controlled burns in a manner that minimizes smoke impact to nearby roadways and neighborhoods. However, heavy amounts of smoke and ash are expected. Residents and businesses adjacent to the area are encouraged to keep windows closed throughout the day on Saturday.
