The Town of Wake Forest is accepting qualification packages until Friday, February 21, 2020 @ 3:00 p.m. from qualified firms or teams for the following services:

Advertisement for Bids

Sealed bids will be received from bidders by The Town of Wake Forest, 234 Friendship Chapel Road, Wake Forest, NC. 27587 until 2:00 pm on 21 January 2020 for the following:

Partial Roof Replacement and Repairs Project.

This will not be a public bid opening.  

Electronic project documents may be obtained from the Engineer, REI Engineers, Inc., 9121 Anson Way, Suite 100, Raleigh, North Carolina 27615 at no cost.  Hard copy project documents may be purchased from the Engineer at a nonrefundable cost of $150.00. Contact John Davinson ( for copies of the Project Manual. Project Manuals will be ready for distribution 20 December 2019.

All bidders are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades.

The Town of Wake Forest reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make the award as deemed in the best interest of the town of Wake Forest.

A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 7 January 2020 at The Town of Wake Forest Police Station, 225 S. Taylor Street, Wake Forest, NC. 27587 at 10:00 am.  Attendance is Mandatory.


New Bid Notice

Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Wake Forest in the office of the Planning Department, 301 South Brooks Street, Wake Forest, N.C. 27587 until 2:00 pm, Friday, January 24, 2020, at which time in the Town Hall Ground Floor Meeting Room A/B, 301 South Brooks Street, Wake Forest, N.C. 27587, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:


The project generally includes approximately 0.371 miles of roadway widening along Ligon Mill Road from US-1A (Main Street) to the Walmart driveway. The scope of work consists of grading, paving, drainage, erosion control, utilities, and signals.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting for all perspective prime bidders on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in Town Hall Ground Floor Meeting Room A/B at 301 S Brooks Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

No bid shall be considered or accepted by the Town of Wake Forest unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit with the Town of Wake Forest of cash, or a cashier’s check or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the Proposal. In lieu of making the deposit as above provided, such Bidder may file a Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of the state of North Carolina to execute such bonds; conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith Contract in accordance with the Bid Bond. If upon acceptance of his Bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the Town of Wake Forest, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to and become the property of the Town of Wake Forest.

A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in the state of North Carolina.

Bidders must conform to the provisions of the North Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Act of 1925, as amended.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all the requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects of informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to Award the contract, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner.

The Contract is to be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, provided the Bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents, is judged to be reasonable, and does not exceed the funds available.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from Accent Imaging of Raleigh, NC at 919-782- 3332, or by using their online plan room. Purchase of the entire bid set includes all plans and specifications, including addenda. The purchase cost of the Contract Documents is nonrefundable.

Accent Imaging will maintain an official plan holders list. Please contact Accent Imaging to be added to this list if plans are received from any other source.

Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any Addendum obtained from any other source.

Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed or any national origin and so certify with the form included in the proposal.

Notice of Surplus Sale

The Town of Wake Forest has a number of vehicles, office supplies, and other surplus items for sale. A listing of the vehicles can be viewed at When visiting the site the easiest way to locate items that the Town has for sale would be to do the following steps:
