Request for Proposals will be accepted until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the office of Randy Driver, Purchasing Manager, 234 Friendship Chapel Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587 for the following:
Submittals may be mailed, or hand delivered: Please send qualifications in a sealed envelope marked: RFP # 2020-0011 - “Fireworks Display Services 2020.”
A total of 3 sealed copies of the proposal shall be submitted. They will be retained by the Town of Wake Forest and will not be returned. Copies of the RFP must be submitted to:

The Town of Wake Forest reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified companies or to cancel this RFP, if it is in the best interest of The Town of Wake Forest to do so.

Notice of Upset Bid
The Town of Wake Forest Board of Commissioners has received an offer for the purchase of certain real property located at 225 S. Taylor Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587. The property is approximately 0.019 acres and has Wake County Tax PIN # 1841507604. The qualifying offer accepted is four thousand dollars ($ 4,000.00). NC General Statute 160A-269 permits the Town to sell real property by the method of upset bid, after the receipt of an offer for the real property. The Town will consider upset offers of not less than a ten percent (10%) increase of the first one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) of that offer and five percent (5%) of the remainder of the offer for a minimum of ten (10) days following the publication of this ad (August 28, 2019). To upset the initial bid, a qualifying upset bid is one that raises the existing offer to an amount no less than four thousand two hundred-fifty dollars ($4,250.00) A five percent (5%) bid deposit (which can be made in cash, certified funds, or a letter of credit) must accompany the proposed offer and be received before September 9, 2019 @ 2:30 p.m. The Town will return the deposit of a bid that is not actually accepted. If an additional offer is submitted and qualifies to upset the present bid, the upset bid ad will be posted for another ten (10) days until such a time when there are no additional qualifying offers. The Town must approve the final high offer, which it will do (if the final high offer is not the initial offer) within 30 days after the final upset bid period has passed. The Town may at anytime during the process reject any or all offers. Notice of Surplus Sale
The Town of Wake Forest has a number of vehicles, office supplies, and other surplus items for sale. A listing of the vehicles can be viewed at www.govdeals.com. When visiting the site the easiest way to locate items that the Town has for sale would be to do the following steps:

Under SELLER NAME use the drop down to locate Wake Forest NC and then click SEARCH;
