Fingerprinting Service
The Wake Forest Police Department offers live scan fingerprinting, also known as electronic fingerprinting, to Wake Forest residents only on Thursdays from 10 am-noon. The service is offered at the Police Department Main Station, 225 S. Taylor St.
No appointment is necessary but fingerprinting is offered on a first come, first serve basis to the first 12 people to arrive.
The cost is $10. Cash is the only acceptable form of payment, which must be made before fingerprinting service is rendered.
Proof of residency and a valid picture ID are required, and face masks or coverings must be worn inside the Police Department.

Other Local Options
Area residents also have two other local fingerprinting service options, including the Raleigh/Wake City-County Bureau of Identification (CCBI) and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Raleigh/Wake CCBI, 3301 Hammond Road, Raleigh, offers fingerprinting service daily from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The fee is $15. Appointments are required. For more information or to make an appointment, call 919-856-6300.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, 285 T Kemp Road, Louisburg, offers fingerprinting services to Franklin County residents only Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10, and the telephone number is 919-496-2186.
