Only people who live inside the Wake Forest town limits (who pay Wake Forest taxes) will be eligible to register for classes on Monday, Dec. 1, at 8 a.m. RecDesk will automatically determine your address when you create your account.
We are working on recruiting more instructors and scheduling more classes! With our new RecDesk system, we will also be able to create waitlists for classes!
Yes! There will now be a waitlist option for all classes and programs. If a class is full but later there's a cancellation or seats open, WFCAA staff will contact the person at the top of the list about the open seat, then proceed down the list as needed.

Yes! Our refund policy is provided below and on the WFCAA web page. This policy also aligns with that of the PRCR Department to ensure we are consistent and fair to everyone.
Class fees are 100% refundable when the class is cancelled by the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging. Anyone withdrawing from a class that has not been cancelled by the WFCAA must request a refund, in writing, at least 10 business days in advance of the scheduled start of the class. Refunds will not be given for withdrawals made less than the five working day period other than for verified medical/hardship cases.
No. You do not need to visit a PRCR facility to sign up/join before participating at the WFCAA. Our gray RecCard will replace your current green PRCR RecCard. You can use your gray RecCard ONLY if you have a membership with PRCR.
WFCAA RecCards are free for all members through Wednesday, Dec. 31. Beginning Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, non-Wake Forest residents will be required to pay $25 for their WFCAA RecCard, while Wake Forest residents will continue receiving theirs for free. However, anyone who loses their card will be charged a $5 replacement fee. We recommend that you take a picture of your card's barcode so you can continue signing in, even if you lose it.
