Farmers Market

Over the years, the Wake Forest Farmers Market has grown into a lively community event on Saturday mornings.

Now located behind the Wake Forest Town Hall, along South Taylor Street, the Farmers' Market offers fresh-off-the-farm produce; pasture-raised beef, poultry, and pork; free-range eggs; fresh and dried herbs; honey, jams, and preserves; fresh-cut flowers and delicious baked goods.

The majority of our farm products are raised using environmentally sustainable agricultural practices, which are healthy for the soil, water, air, animals, and you!

Farmers Market Mission

The Wake Forest Farmers Market is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating our community about the value of local farms and the importance of local food systems.

Farmers Market History

The Wake Forest Farmers Market was founded over 20 years ago by a farmer and baker who wanted to bring quality, affordable food to an area that was considered a food desert.  They also wanted to be a true definition of local, so all vendors had to produce what they sold and operate within 75 miles of the market.

The Market was first located in the Depot Parking Lot along South White Street. After living in several locations in Downtown Wake Forest, the Market moved to its current location in 2019.

As they did then, the current vendors own, operate and fund the market. Some of the products offered by current vendors include vegetables, micro greens, various meats, mushrooms, honey, cut flowers, plants and more.
