Construction Inspection

The Town of Wake Forest is committed to ensuring our infrastructure is built to service Wake Forest residents and visitors safely. The construction inspection group consists of a construction inspection supervisor and four construction inspectors. They work diligently in the field performing inspections to ensure our infrastructure is built to our minimum standards set by the Manual of Details & Specifications. Inspectors look at erosion and sediment control measures, stormwater and perform a variety of other inspections. Throughout the development, the assigned inspector will visit the site on a weekly basis and ensure the environment and infrastructure are properly protected. For more information, please contact Director of  Engineering Joe Guckavan, Jr., PE. Inspections can be scheduled online, or by calling 919-435-9440. Inspections must be scheduled by 3 pm in order to be performed the following business day.

Erosion & Sediment Control

Sediment is the number one polluter by volume in North Carolina. The Town of Wake Forest's goal is for no sediment to leave any construction site and pollute Wake Forest's natural environment. The Town regulates any land disturbing activities over half an acre with an Erosion & Sediment Control permitting and inspection program. For more information about our Erosion & Sediment Control policies, please contact Stormwater Engineering Manager Monica Sarna, PE .  Please visit See.Click.Fix. to report erosion control issues.

Stormwater Management

Stormwater Engineering Manager Monica Sarna, PE manages the planning, design and construction of stormwater infrastructure projects within the Town of Wake Forest.

Due to increasing federal and state clean water regulations, the Town of Wake Forest has developed a Stormwater Management program designed to protect its drainage infrastructure, improve the efficiency of the overall drainage system, and ultimately enhance the local environment. The Town of Wake Forest is committed to keeping our local waterways clean for the safety of Town of Wake Forest residents and visitors. Please visit See.Click.Fix. to report stormwater issues, such as clogged storm drains or illicit discharge.
