Hosted by the Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. Board of Directors, the event provided an annual update on new downtown businesses, property development plans, key annual statistics, and Board objectives.

Wake Forest Power Update

During the 2024 Downtown Property Owners' Luncheon, Electric Utility Director Chris Terrell offered an update on Wake Forest Power activities and initiatives – with a particular emphasis on downtown Wake Forest.

Among the topics he addressed in his eight-minute presentation were the power outages that affected downtown in 2023, including the number one cause – animals, the new outage management system coming soon, and the utility’s efforts to convert existing overhead lines to underground.
