The trail's proximity to Franklin Academy schools, Kiwanis Park, Wake Forest Community Library, Post Office, Wake County Northern Regional Center, and Heath Ridge Village, Deacons Ridge, and several other residential neighborhoods make this a popular spot for anyone visiting or living downtown.

Greenway users have the opportunity to experience a peaceful and partially-shaded escape from the busy downtown streets. Parking is available at the Wake Forest Library, and a picnic shelter is located at the Kiwanis Park. Several bus stop are within two blocks.
