Spirits of Wake ForestIf you’re looking for a “hauntingly” good time this fall, then don’t miss the “Spirits of Wake Forest” ghost walk in historic downtown Wake Forest. Presented by Wake Forest Downtown (WFD), Inc., in partnership with Forest Moon Theater, these tours will be offered Thursday-Saturday evenings (September 30-October 30) at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. 

Downtown Wake Forest’s buildings and sidewalks have seen well over 100 years of history, and they have some spooky stories to tell! Join WFD, Inc. and Forest Moon Theater's incredible cast of storytellers to learn about the tragic train wrecks, murderous mamas and restless spirits that make up just a small piece of downtown’s haunted history.

Tickets

Tickets are available for purchase. All tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable/non-transferable. 

Tours are recommended for ages 8 and up. Younger children are welcome at their parents' discretion.

All children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. 

ADULTS : $15 per person 

KIDS (AGE 10 & UNDER): $12 per person

Dates & Times

Thursday – Saturday nights from September 30-October 30.  

Tours will be offered at 6:30 pm and 8 pm. Each tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

 

Location

Tours will take place in Historic Downtown Wake Forest’s business district, primarily along South White Street. We will meet outside Wake Forest Town Hall (301 South Brooks Street) and tours will begin promptly at their scheduled time. Please note that tours are within the business district only and will not include the private residences located along North and South Main Streets.

 

Know Before You Go

This year’s tour will feature a number of last year’s favorite stories, along with plenty of new material. 

Tours will take place rain or shine.  

The maximum number of participants for each tour is 20.

The health & safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. With that in mind we will follow any national, state or local mandates that are in place regarding COVID-19 at the time of each tour.

WAKE FOREST DOWNTOWN, INC. (WFD) is a certified 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that champions the economic health and vitality of this area with support from the Town of Wake Forest. WFD’s volunteer Board of Directors–whose members are downtown business owners, property owners, merchants and other stakeholders–is dedicated to increasing the active growth of the core of our community.  

FOREST MOON THEATER is a community theater formed in August, 2012. Their mission is to provide a multidimensional theater program that entertains, engages, and educates. By offering live performances, opportunities to participate in theatrical productions, and classes that encourage personal growth through acting and public speaking, they aim to enrich the cultural experience and to promote theatrical arts in Wake Forest and surrounding communities.
