Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday

Friday, November 5, 2021 - 9:44am

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, so residents are reminded to turn their clocks back one hour before bed Saturday evening. Clocks are set back one hour at 2 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1 a.m. local standard time.

As clocks “fall back” one hour, the Wake Forest Fire Department encourages residents to use the occasion to replace batteries in smoke alarms, flashlights and weather radios.

On the second Sunday in March, clocks will be set ahead one hour at 2 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3 a.m. Daylight Saving Time. The next clock change will be March 13, 2022.
