Accident closes portion of southbound Capital Boulevard/US 1

UPDATE: All lanes of southbound Capital Boulevard/US 1 have reopened.
The information below was distributed today at 6:34 p.m.:
An accident has closed all lanes of southbound Capital Boulevard/US 1 from Falls of Neuse Road to Ponderosa Service Road. Southbound traffic is being diverted onto Falls of Neuse Road and South Main Street/US 1A.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and choose another route.
Emergency personnel are on the scene, but there is currently no word on injuries.
