COVID Vaccination Clinic

Saturday, March 20, 2021

mapThe Town of Wake Forest is partnering with Southeastern Healthcare of NC, the Northeast Community Coalition (NECC) and Olive Branch Baptist Church to offer a drive-thru COVID Vaccination Clinic for eligible residents 18 and over on Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 326 E. Juniper Ave. Southeastern Healthcare will administer 500 doses of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine in the church parking lot – without participants exiting their vehicles.

“Wake Forest’s first COVID vaccination clinic will be an important step towards saving lives,” said event organizer and Wake Forest Commissioner Bridget Wall-Lennon. “Coordinating this event was a huge undertaking, and we are grateful to Southeastern Healthcare, the NECC and Olive Branch Baptist Church for their partnership in this important effort.”

Appointments are required and available on a first come, first served basis by calling 919-895-2770. When scheduling an appointment, please indicate that you are requesting a time for the vaccination clinic in Wake Forest.

“We are extremely excited about the opportunity to vaccinate members of the Wake Forest community and grateful to Olive Branch Baptist Church for making their space available,” said Southeastern Healthcare CEO Evelyn Sanders. “We have a limited number of doses, so we need residents to register as soon as possible.”

According to Sanders, once people arrive, they will meet a greeter who will confirm their appointment and complete their registration. They will then move on to medical personnel who will guide them through the consent forms and administer the vaccine, before proceeding to the observation area where they will receive their vaccination card. Again, all of this will be done without participants leaving their cars.

Wake Forest Police will be on hand throughout the day to direct traffic. Participants will be required to access Olive Branch Baptist Church by turning from North White Street onto East Spring Street, then to North Taylor Street. Participants will not be allowed to access the church via East Juniper.
