2023 Children's Parade
Tuesday, July 4 ~ Lineup begins at 10 am
North Main Street & West Juniper Avenue

The Fourth of July Celebration revelry continues Tuesday, July 4, with the annual Children's Parade.

The lineup begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and West Juniper Avenue, near the Wake Forest Historical Museum, 414 N. Main St., and the parade begins at 10:30 a.m. along North Main Street.

No registration is required!

All area youngsters are invited to hop on their bicycles or be pulled along in a wagon as part of a "walking parade" designed just for them!

The parade will end at the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave.

Participation in the Children's Parade is free, but bicyclists must wear their helmets!

Parking

Free parking for the July 4 festivities is available at Holding Park, the Wake Forest Historical Museum, and along several side streets.

Another good option is the gravel lot at the intersection of South Avenue and South Main Street graciously made available by Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are critical to the success of the Children’s Parade and needed to help ensure the safety of the parade participants. Local civic groups and community organizations are especially encouraged to participate as are local students looking to earn community service hours.

Volunteer positions will require both standing and walking, all volunteers must be at least 14-years-old, and a volunteer training session will be offered prior to the event. For more information or to sign up to volunteer, contact Children’s Parade Manager Dawn Nakash.

Special Thanks

A very special thanks to Dawn Nakash, the Wake Forest Optimist Club, a group of incredible volunteers, and the Wake Forest Police Department for making this year's July 4 Children’s Parade possible.
