Town offices closed July 4 for Independence Day, trash & recycling collection suspended
The Wake Forest Town Hall and other administrative offices will be closed Friday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. In addition, curbside trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be suspended, along with the Wake Forest-Raleigh Express. Go Wake Forest will operate according to its normal schedule.
During the week of June 30, the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday trash and recycling routes will operate according to the normal schedule. The Friday route will be collected Saturday.
Yard waste will not be collected July 4. During the week of June 30, the collection of all routes, including Friday’s route, will occur throughout the week until all are completed. To ensure that all neighborhoods are serviced properly, Wake Forest residents are urged to leave their normal yard waste at the curb by 7 a.m. Monday. As always, please avoid placing items on or near mailboxes, utility boxes, utility poles or other fixed objects.
Bulk waste collection will not be affected by the holiday. To schedule a bulk pick-up, complete the online bulk waste pick-up request form at http://bit.ly/WFBulkPickupForm by 2 p.m. Monday, June 30.
Residents without internet service can schedule their pick-up by calling 919-435-9570 by 2 p.m. Monday, June 30. Residents who call after hours may leave a voicemail message. All voicemail requests for bulk pick-up service must include the resident’s name, physical address, and telephone number, along with a description of the bulk waste items to be collected. Any service request that does not include the required information will not be processed.
Town offices will reopen Monday, July 7. The Wake Forest-Raleigh Express will also resume its normal schedule on July 7. To view the Town holiday schedule, visit www.wakeforestnc.gov/holiday-schedule.
