FNOW Food Truck Application

The Town of Wake Forest is pleased to present the fifth annual Friday Night on White outdoor concert series. Food trucks interested in serving at one or more events during the series are asked to review the information below prior to submitting an application.

Event Dates: April 17, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11 (Due to time constraints, food truck participation at the April 17 event is by invitation only. This application covers the May-September events.)

Event Hours: 5-9 pm

Arrival Time: 2:30-3:15 pm

Event Fee: $150 per event

Anticipated Attendance: 8,000 - 15,000 per event (highly dependent on weather).

PLEASE NOTE: The Town of Wake Forest will market the event extensively, including the availability of participating food trucks.

The Process

  • Each event has space for 12 food trucks. Trucks will be assigned to various months based on a lottery system, and preference will be given to trucks based in the Wake Forest area.

  • Participating trucks are required to have all necessary permits to serve in Wake County, including a Mobile Food Unit (MFU) permit.

  • Each truck must provide a copy of their Certificate of Insurance showing the Town of Wake Forest as an additional insured for the event date(s). A minimum of $1 million in general liability insurance is required along with a minimum of $1 million in automobile liability insurance.

  • This year's event footprint has changed. Dessert trucks will now be located along Owen Avenue, while all other trucks will remain in the Depot Parking Lot.

  • The Town of Wake Forest will make every effort to provide electrical access to as many trucks as possible, but reserves the right to ask trucks to use generators when necessary. With this in mind, trucks with silent generators will be given priority during the application process. When available, electrical access is provided through GFCI outlets. If your truck's electrical system is not compatible with these outlets please indicate this on your application.

  • The event will take place rain or shine. Should the event be canceled in advance due to extreme severe weather, all fees will be refunded to you.

  • Please submit an application indicating which months you are interested in attending. Applications may be submitted on-line or by mail and are due by Monday, Feb. 24.

  • Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance to the event. Applications generally outnumber available spots by a significant amount.

  • You will be notified which events you have been selected to attend on Friday, March 6.

  • Payment is due no later than 30 days prior to each event. Checks should be written to the Town of Wake Forest. An online payment option will also be available.

Menu Note

Our goal is to compliment our existing downtown restaurants - not compete with them. With this in mind, we do not book food trucks serving primarily burgers, pizza or ice cream.
