PRCR seeks sponsors & vendors for Family Fitness Fair
The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department is seeking sponsors and health and fitness vendors for its third annual “Family Fitness Fair” on Saturday, June 13. The event will take place from 10 a.m.-noon at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
The Family Fitness Fair is a fun, family-friendly event offered in conjunction with the National Recreation and Park Association’s “Family Health & Fitness Day” initiative celebrated every year on the second Saturday in June.
“This special event promotes the importance of parks and recreation in keeping communities healthy,” said PRCR Director Ruben Wall. “We support the residents of Wake Forest, and it is our goal to help families become healthier and live a longer life of health, wellness and empowerment by providing opportunities to be more active and make healthier choices.”
Free and open to the public, the June 13 Family Fitness Fair plans to feature the following:
Healthy Food & Cooking Zone
Fun Kids Interactive Zone
Health Demonstration/Live Workout
Hands–On CPR Training
