Gas leak closes portion of Gateway Commons Circle

Emergency personnel are on the scene of a ruptured gas line along the 900 block of Gateway Commons Circle near the Meineke Car Care Center, 949 Gateway Commons Circle, which has been evacuated. The gas line was ruptured by construction crews working in the area.

Due to the ruptured gas line, traffic is blocked along both directions of Gateway Commons Circle. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and choose an alternate route.

Dominion Energy crews are working to seal off the leak, but there is no timetable on when the road will reopen.
