Wake Forest Cares Holiday Donation Drive continues, over $7K raised so far
The Wake Forest Cares Holiday Donation Drive is in full swing. Thanks to the generous donations of local residents, businesses and community organizations, over $7,000 has been raised to date for the following non-profit organizations/initiatives:
Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry
Hope House Wake Forest
Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club
Helping Others by Providing Electricity (HOPE)
Shop with a Cop
Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake - in partnership with Wake Forest High School DECA Chapter
These non-profits are addressing specific needs in our community, including hunger, home lighting and heating, tutoring, mentoring, safe spaces, and/or providing joy and hope during the holiday season and beyond. The Wake Forest Cares Holiday Donation Drive is an opportunity to demonstrate our support for these important efforts.
To donate online, visit www.wakeforestnc.gov/wake-forest-cares. Check donations are also accepted by making checks payable to Town of Wake Forest and including Wake Forest Cares in the memo line. Please mail checks to Town of Wake Forest, 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.
Donations will be accepted through Thursday, Dec. 31. Contributions may be designated to more than one organization/initiative. Donations to more than one cause will be distributed evenly unless otherwise instructed on the online donation form. So, for example, a $50 donation to two causes would result in each receiving $25. One hundred percent of all contributions will be directed to the designated organization(s)/initiative(s).
Every person, family, business and community organization that donates to Wake Forest Cares will receive a Wake Forest Cares certificate. All who donate are invited to share photos of themselves and/or their representatives holding their certificates through the online form on our website at www.wakeforestnc.gov/wake-forest-cares. Through the end of 2020, we will recognize contributors by posting the pictures we receive on the Town of Wake Forest Facebook page and our online photo gallery. We also invite you to post your pictures on social media and use the hashtag #WakeForestCares. Note: When taking group photos, please follow CDC and state health guidelines.
