Allison Luvisi is Town of Wake Forest 2025 Employee of the Year

  • Human Resources Consultant Allison Luvisi is the Town of Wake Forest’s 2025 Jon Ray Employee of the Year (EOY).
  • The award is named after former Street Supervisor Jon Ray who passed away in November 2013.
  • Town Manager Kip Padgett and a committee comprised of former EOY award winners select the Employee of the Year from nominations submitted by Town staff.
  • Planner II Emma Linn was last year’s winner.

WAKE FOREST, NC – The Town of Wake Forest is pleased to recognize Human Resources Consultant Allison Luvisi as its “2025 Jon Ray Employee of the Year.” Town Manager Kip Padgett made the announcement on December 22. 

Luvisi was nominated for the EOY award by several co-workers, one of whom praised her dedication, integrity, and kindness. 

“As a Human Resources professional, Allison embodies the spirit of service and dedication that lies at the heart of our community and the Town. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity is evident in every interaction, whether with colleagues or members of the public. Allison consistently demonstrates an exceptional ability to listen, understand, and respond to the needs of others, ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm are infectious, inspiring those around her to reach their full potential and contribute to the organization's success. Allison is not only a responsive and attentive professional but also a beacon of kindness and compassion. She has an innate ability to connect with people on a personal level, making everyone feel heard and respected.”

Another co-worker emphasized Luvisi’s commitment to the Town’s core values of caring, commitment, character, and collaboration. 

“Allison completely embodies each of the Town’s core values, and this year she seemed to rise above all others. Allison cares about everyone, is extremely committed to her role and the Town of Wake Forest, has an amazingly strong character, and is naturally all about collaboration.”

A third staff member highlighted Luvisi’s professionalism, work ethic, and problem-solving skills.

“Allison’s name is synonymous with hard work, dedication, commitment, leadership, ethics, and too many more to list. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for Allison’s exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and professionalism. Allison has great problem-solving abilities, communication skills and her dedication to the Town of Wake Forest is outstanding. Allison is a huge proponent for people to work at the Town of Wake Forest and succeed. Allison is truly invaluable with her wealth of knowledge, willingness to help employees with concerns and always guides them in the right direction.”

A native of Wilson, NC, Luvisi graduated from Atlantic Christian College in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from NC State University in 1995 with a Master of Education in Training and Development.

A Wake Forest employee since 2020, Luvisi says working in Human Resources is a rewarding experience. 

“I love assisting our employees with any questions or concerns they may have,” she said. “I also enjoy recruiting new employees for the Town. That is my true joy.”

When she’s not working, Luvisi enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and sons, Trent, Clark, and Drake. She also loves “the beach – any beach.” 

The Town of Wake Forest Jon Ray Employee of the Year (EOY) Award is named after former Street Supervisor Jon Ray who passed away in November 2013. Padgett and a committee comprised of former EOY award winners select the Employee of the Year from nominations submitted by Town staff. Submissions must include a written narrative explaining why the nominee is deserving of the award.
