WAKE FOREST, NC – Beginning Monday, Aug. 24, the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will close for construction and renovations the Flaherty Park Tennis Courts, 1226 N. White St.
The project will include removing the existing asphalt on the courts and replacing it with a new surface. Renovations will also include the installation of new fencing, fence posts, nets and suspension devices, benches, restroom facilities, water fountains, and an accessible sidewalk extending from the tennis courts to the Flaherty Park Community Center.
The estimated cost of this project is $1.4 million.
The site will be considered an active construction site throughout the duration of the project. Community members are urged to follow all posted signage and stay out of the area. No trespassing is allowed.
