The Town of Wake Forest is in the process of creating a Sustainability Plan to serve as a guide for Town operations and community-wide sustainability initiatives. Development of a Town-wide sustainability plan is a priority within Goal 4 of the Wake Forest Strategic Plan - Investing in Transportation and Infrastructure.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, the Town will host Sustainability Plan Open House (drop-in) sessions from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave., and from 6-8 p.m. at the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging, 235 E. Holding Ave.
These drop-in sessions will give community members the opportunity to hear more about the process of creating a Sustainability Plan, learn about draft recommendations, and share their thoughts and opinions. Town staff and representatives from Blue Strike Environmental, the Town’s consultant, will be on hand to answer questions and gather public input.
