WAKE FOREST, NC - On Saturday, Aug. 15, Wake Forest Police obtained an arrest warrant for John Flowers Jr., 47, of Durham. Flowers (photos below) has been identified as the driver of the vehicle that fled from police on Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, resulting in a pursuit that ended when the pursuing officer crashed into an uninvolved vehicle in Durham near Holloway Street and Raynor Street. The driver of the uninvolved vehicle and a passenger were transported to a local hospital.
Among the most serious charges facing Flowers are flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle; reckless driving; speeding; and driving while license revoked.
Flowers has also been identified as a person of interest for his role in a series of organized retail thefts at home improvement stores throughout the area.
