Strategic Plan Update Open House

When
-

The Town of Wake Forest is in the process of updating its Strategic Plan and wants your input.

On Monday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. the Town will host an open house at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St. The two-hour session will offer community members, business owners, and stakeholders the opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on Wake Forest’s long-term vision, vitality, and sustainability. No registration is necessary. The session will have an informal, open house-style format, so you may drop in anytime from 6-8 p.m. to view displays, ask questions, and share comments.

Adopted in 2017 and updated in 2022, Wake Forest’s Strategic Plan serves as our community’s roadmap for the future. It defines long-term priorities, establishes clear goals, and guides how the Town allocates resources, delivers services, and measures success. It also ensures that day‑to‑day decisions and operations align with the broader vision of residents and elected officials.

Wake Forest updates its Strategic Plan every five years. That’s because communities evolve, new opportunities emerge, demographic trends shift, and community members needs change. Updating the plan every five years allows the Town to:

  • Reassess community priorities
  • Incorporate new data and best practices
  • Respond to emerging challenges and opportunities
  • Ensure alignment between long-term goals and current operations
  • Regular updates keep the plan relevant, actionable, and reflective of the community’s voice.

Although the BOC meets annually to refine the strategies in the plan, the time has come for a comprehensive update that will guide elected officials’ decisions over the next five years.
