WAKE FOREST, NC – Fred Smith Company, a contractor working on the South Franklin Street Widening Project, is about to complete the current phase of paving operations along the outside lanes of South Franklin Street in the Holding Village subdivision.
Beginning Friday, March 6, crews will begin constructing the center medians which will require a traffic shift onto the newly paved outside lanes.
Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone, especially in areas where asphalt tack has been applied, as it may be present on the roadway surface. Motorists should also remain attentive and respectful of construction personnel working in the area.
The Town of Wake Forest appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as work continues on the South Franklin Street Widening Project.
