Wake Forest Power responding to outage affecting over 1,000 customers

***UPDATE - Power has been restored for many of the affected customers. Restoration efforts continue for those who remain without power. The outage was caused by a faulty underground power line.

The information below was posted at 9:20 a.m.:

Wake Forest Power crews are responding to a power outage affecting over 1,000 customers.  

Affected streets include South Main Street/US 1A, Ligon Mill Road, Stone Monument Drive, Longbourn Drive, Lambton Avenue, Gracechurch Street, Hunsford Pllace, and Forbes Road.

The cause of the outage is not known, but power is expected to be restored by 11 a.m.
