***UPDATE – On Tuesday, Sept. 30, the Wake Forest Police Department responded to reports of a shooting along the 5500 block of Mill Dam Road.
Upon their arrival, officers located a single victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
During the investigation of this incident, it was determined the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute.
The victim has been identified as Josefina Tavarez, age 40, of Wake Forest.
Hariston Jose Urena-Morales, 44, also of Wake Forest, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting.
