The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host its second annual Diwali Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
Free and open to everyone, the Diwali Festival will feature enchanting music, vibrant dance performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, and a henna tattoo artist.
Festival goers are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets but are reminded that alcoholic beverages, unleashed pets, and grills of any kind are prohibited.
Food Truck, Vendor & Non-Profit applications accepted through Aug 21
The third annual Wake Forest Diwali Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department is now accepting applications from food trucks, vendors, and non-profit organizations that wish to participate in this year’s Diwali Festival. The online application is available through Friday, Aug. 21.
As interest in the Wake Forest Diwali Festival grows, the PRCR Department is committed to securing food trucks, vendors, and nonprofits whose cuisine, missions, and efforts align with the purpose and spirit of the event. As a result, participating food trucks, vendors, and nonprofit organizations must provide products, services, education, or activities that relate directly to Indian culture.
