The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host its second annual Diwali Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.

Free and open to everyone, the Diwali Festival will feature enchanting music, vibrant dance performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, board games, cricket demonstration and henna tattoos. Vendors include North Wake Church, Thalir Arts Academy and Ain Gain LLC (Indian clothing).

Festival goers are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets but are reminded that alcoholic beverages, unleashed pets, and grills of any kind are prohibited. 

Pre-Festival Yoga Session

Before the festivities begin, take a moment to slow down, breathe, stretch, and reconnect with yourself during a special Yoga Session from 11-11:45 a.m. inside the Joyner Park Amphitheater.

No prior yoga experience is required! Whether you’re new to yoga or have an established practice, everyone is welcome. 

Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle.
