WAKE FOREST, NC - For the month of October, the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre will welcome Wake Forest Pride as its featured community group. The Renaissance Centre and Wake Forest Pride are inviting LGBTQIA+ artists to submit up to three original 2D and 3D artworks to be considered for the Renaissance Centre gallery.

Designed to give visual artists an opportunity to display and sell their work in a gallery setting, the exhibit will include 130 linear feet of hanging space and a medium-sized display cabinet to showcase 2D and 3D works for art.

Submitted works of art can be any medium and any subject, but due to the municipal nature of the building and the space being one for all ages, the Renaissance Centre cannot accept artwork containing nudity or explicit messaging.

To learn more and/or apply, visit https://www.wakeforestrencen.org/tickets-events/art-exhibits. The submission deadline is Sunday, Sept. 20.

Selected pieces will be on display inside the Centre’s Art Annex Monday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Nov. 5, with a free art reception on Friday, Oct.  9, from 5-7 p.m.
