Traffic Alert - South Franklin Street/Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass Intersection

The traffic signal for southbound South Franklin Street at the Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass intersection is inoperable. 

NCDOT is aware of the issue, but there is no timetable for when the traffic signal will be operational. 

Stop signs have been installed at the bypass entry. 

In addition, the eastbound left turn lane from the Dr. Calvin Jones Hwy/NC 98 Bypass onto South Franklin Street is closed. 

Motorists are urged to slow down and proceed with caution through the intersection.
