WAKE FOREST, NC – The Wake Forest Public Art Commission (PAC) is inviting community members to a special Community Celebration of the Arts on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.

Free and open to everyone, this family-friendly event will feature a main stage performance at 11a.m. of “Tangled Tales” by Grey Seal Puppets.

The 45-minute puppet show brings to life three classic folk tales of “The Frog Prince,” “Three Billy Goats Gruff,” and “The Three Little Pigs” each of which are told with refreshing wit and wisdom. Between stories, audiences will enjoy a cast of whimsical characters, including a dancing ant, “block heads,” and the playful “Wobblies,” who open the performance with a ballet set to “The Comedian’s Suite” by Dmitry Kabalevsky.

The Celebration of the Arts will also include a variety of arts activities for people of all ages, including a themed slime bar and assorted giveaways. In addition, the event will offer a mini market featuring members of the Wake Forest Guild of Artists, live caricature drawings by Cartoon Jordan, and an art show in the Arts Annex.
