Monica Lileton graduates from Municipal & County Administration Course
Recreation Program Manager Monica Lileton has graduated from the 2024-25 Municipal and County Administration course offered by the School of Government at UNC-Chapel Hill.
This intensive 150-hour program is tailored for municipal and county leaders whose roles require a comprehensive understanding of public sector operations beyond their specific areas of expertise. More than 60 instructors contribute to course instruction, which covers North Carolina local government law, management, finance and budgeting, employment law, planning and development regulation, and the delivery of essential municipal and county services.
Monica was among 126 officials statewide to complete the program this year, joining a distinguished group of over 3,200 graduates since the course’s inception in 1954.
A member of the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) team since April 2014, Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Gardner-Webb University and the Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation from the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). A 2025 graduate of the Town’s Leadership Academy, she was the 2016 Town of Wake Forest Employee of the Year.
As Recreation Program Manager, Monica oversees Wake Forest’s four recreational facilities, PRCR special events, and inclusive programming. She is also instrumental in developing innovative community recreation programs, expanding access to adaptive recreation, and building strategic partnerships that enhance quality of life for Wake Forest residents.
