WAKE FOREST, NC – Two staircases at the Holding Park Inclusive Playground, 133 W. Owen Ave., are closed for a painting project through Saturday afternoon, March 7. Visitors can access the park and playground from Owen Avenue via the accessible ramp or stairs located in front of the Wake Forest Community House.
In addition, the park will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 9, through 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. The temporary closure is necessary to allow maintenance staff and contractors to perform cleaning and repair work.
As part of the initiative, a contractor will reinstall the entry gate and power wash the playground and shade structures. Parks Maintenance staff will also prune several trees and install new mulch in the playground area.
Signage and barricades will be posted to inform the public of the closure.
