The E. Carroll Joyner Park playground, situated behind the Joyner Park Community Center, 701 Harris Road, is closed through Friday, April 5.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to install five shade structures throughout the playground area.
Signage and barricades are posted to inform the public of the closure.
Weather permitting, the playground will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 6.
