WAKE FOREST, NC - The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department is hosting a free, monthly outdoor movie series through August at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. Family Movie Nights at Joyner Park feature a variety of family-friendly film favorites and genres, including comedies, dramas, and action, all projected on a 32-foot inflatable movie screen in the park’s amphitheater.
The fourth and final film in this year’s series of Family Movie Nights will feature “GOAT” on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 8:30 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: “GOAT” is replacing the originally scheduled film, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” due to licensing issues. Anyone planning to attend is urged to arrive early as viewing space may be limited. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chairs but are reminded that alcohol, smoking, and unleashed pets are prohibited.
Free and open to everyone, Family Movie Nights also include a movie-related pre-show activity for kids beginning at 7:30 p.m. and assorted food vendors onsite selling snacks and refreshments.
In the event of rain, Family Movie Night may be canceled. Updates will be posted on the Town website, Nextdoor site, and Facebook page. Smart phone users who have downloaded the Town of Wake Forest app will receive a push notification message concerning any schedule changes.
