WAKE FOREST, NC – The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department is pleased to announce that the National Recreation and Park Association has awarded the Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) credential to Athletics Program Coordinator Erica Shingleton. Shingleton earned the certification by successfully passing a 150 multiple-choice certification test spanning several subject areas.
The CPRP certification is the national standard for all parks and recreation professionals who want to be at the forefront of their profession. Attaining the CPRP designation shows that candidates have met education and experience qualifications and illustrates their commitment to the profession as well as their knowledge and understanding of key concepts within parks and recreation.
A Town of Wake Forest employee since 2024, Shingleton is the eighth member of the PRCR Department to earn CPRP certification.
