The Amazing Lounge Lizards to headline August 14 Friday Night on White

WAKE FOREST, NC – Weather permitting, “The Amazing Lounge Lizards” will headline the August 14 Friday Night on White (FNOW). The free outdoor concert is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. along South White Street in downtown Wake Forest. For complete information about FNOW, visit http://bit.ly/FridayNightonWhite.

Food & Refreshments

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at several downtown restaurants. A variety of food and dessert trucks will also be on site in the Depot Parking Lot, 110 S. White St., and along East Owen Avenue. Menus for the participating food trucks are provided on the Town website at https://bit.ly/FNOWFoodTrucks and as a function of the Town app (see Friday Night on White, Food Trucks).

Beer Sales & Wake Forest Social District

• Beer will be available for purchase within the Friday Night on White event footprint starting at 5 p.m. 
• Alcohol vendors manage their own alcohol sales and are responsible for identification checks as required by law.
• No outside coolers are permitted.
• No outside alcohol is permitted to enter the Friday Night on White event footprint unless in an approved Wake Forest Social District Cup.
• White Street Brewing - Tokens may be purchased in advance at White Street Brewing or at the event starting at 5 p.m. Tokens may then be redeemed at the event for a pint of beer for each token redeemed. Unused tokens may be redeemed during normal business hours at White Street Brewing.
• Norse Brewing - Tickets may be purchased in advance at Norse Brewing or at the event starting at 5 p.m. Tickets may then be redeemed at the event for a pint of beer for each ticket redeemed. Unused tickets may be redeemed during normal business hours at Norse Brewing.
• Several beer serving stations will be situated throughout the festival area, including the western end of East Owen Avenue, adjacent to George’s Pizzeria; along East Owen; at the intersection of East Jones Avenue and South White Street; and in the vicinity of the South White and Wait Avenue intersection.
• Alcoholic beverages sold on the street from White Street Brewing and Norse Brewing are sold under their Special Event permit and not allowed to leave the Friday Night on White event footprint and enter the WF Social District. In addition, these beverages should not enter another ABC permitted business. Only alcohol in an approved WF Social District cup may enter an ABC permitted business provided the business chooses to allow outside alcohol as indicated by the green "Alcohol Beverages Welcomed Here" decal.

Rideshare Pickup, Drop Off

Anyone planning to take a rideshare, such as Go Wake Forest, Uber, or Lyft is encouraged to set the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 Brooks St., as the destination drop off and pickup location. 

Parking

Free parking will be available at the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging, 235 E. Holding Ave., Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and along several side streets and parking lots throughout downtown Wake Forest and beyond. Please note: some parking lots may appear to be public, when in fact they are private, such as the Renaissance Plaza parking lot. Read all signage in the parking lot to determine what type of lot you are using. Private lots are intended for business patrons only. Public lots that are open to FNOW attendees are clearly marked.
