Project Overview
- Flaherty Park Tennis Courts
- Remove and replace existing courts (including lining for pickleball on select courts)
- Remove and replace existing fencing (including addition of maintenance gates)
- Water fountain(s)
- Restroom facilities with storage areas
- Electrical outlets courtside (select courts)
- Address ADA issues (sidewalks, curb & gutter)
- Add signage (according to the Town’s UDO requirements)
- Landscaping: Add appropriate landscaping to enhance facility aesthetics

Originally Spring 2026. Now August 2026.
PLEASE NOTE: All project schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances including (but not limited to) funding, weather, delays in equipment delivery or other events beyond to control of the Town of Wake Forest and/or hired contractors. Projects will be updated quarterly.

$1.4 million (applied for $200,000 - United States Tennis Association Grant)
