WAKE FOREST, NC – The Wake Forest Town Hall and other administrative offices will be closed Monday, July 6, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Yard waste collection will also be suspended. Trash and recycling will be collected according to the normal schedule, while Go Wake Forest and the Wake Forest-Raleigh Express will operate according to their normal schedules.
Yard waste collection will resume Tuesday, July 7. During the week of July 6, the collection of all routes, including Monday’s route, will occur throughout the week until all are completed. To ensure that all neighborhoods are serviced properly, Wake Forest residents are urged to leave their normal yard waste at the curb by 7 a.m. Tuesday. As always, please avoid placing items on or near mailboxes, utility boxes, utility poles, or other fixed objects.
Bulk waste collection will not be affected by the holiday. To schedule a bulk pick-up, complete the online bulk waste pick-up request form at http://bit.ly/WFBulkPickupForm by 2 p.m. Friday, July 3.
Residents without internet service can schedule their pick-up by calling 919-435-9570 by 2 p.m. Friday, July 3. Residents who call after hours may leave a voicemail message. All voicemail requests for bulk pick-up service must include the resident’s name, physical address, and telephone number, along with a description of the bulk waste items to be collected. Any service request that does not include the required information will not be processed.

Wake Forest residents can stay informed about the Town’s trash, recycling, and yard waste collection programs, including changes to the normal collection schedules, by signing up for the “Waste Wizard.” Available on the Town website at http://bit.ly/WFWasteWizard, the Waste Wizard is an interactive tool that allows users to sign up for waste collection reminders and download collection schedules.
