WAKE FOREST, NC – For several years, Wake Forest Police officers have handed out free bottles of iced water to walkers, joggers, cyclists, and other greenway users while patrolling Town greenways in all-terrain vehicles.

“Distributing bottles of water to folks who are enjoying the town’s greenways is a great way for our officers to interact with the public, while also providing a valuable service – especially when it’s hot,” said Wake Forest Police Chief Julius Jefferson.

Over the years, cases of bottled water have been donated to the WFPD by generous community members and businesses, but supplies are running low. Any business, individual, or family that wishes to donate cases of bottled water may drop them off at Police Department Headquarters, 745 Merritt Capital Dr., Ste. 113, or the Police Department Substation, 225 S. Taylor St.
