Portion of Brick Street temporarily closed, detour in place

WAKE FOREST, NC – Raleigh Water has closed the portion of Brick Street between North White Street and Crowder Avenue. The temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to install a water system valve. 

The following detour is in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists around the work area:

Motorists traveling south along North White Street will continue and turn right onto East Roosevelt Avenue, then right onto Front Street, followed by a right onto North Main Street. From there, motorists will turn right onto East Cedar Avenue and then left onto Brewer Avenue.

Motorists traveling along Brick Street will be redirected to Brewer Avenue, then right onto East Cedar Avenue, left onto North Main Street, left onto Front Street, left onto East Roosevelt Avenue, and finally left onto North White Street. 

The work is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. today (Monday, March 23).
