PRCR Food Vendors

Beginning Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will accept applications from food vendors interested in participating in 2026 PRCR events, such as Family Movie Nights at Joyner Park, Fireworks Spectacular, Concerts in the Park, Halloween Boo Bash, and more. The online application will be activated through Saturday, Jan. 31.

Please note: The application will be activated Monday, Jan. 5, through Saturday, Jan. 31.

The PRCR Department will notify selected food vendors by Tuesday, Feb. 17. 

Requirements

Participating food vendors are required to obtain all necessary Wake County permits, including a Mobile Food Unit (MFU) permit or Temporary Food Event (TFE) permit. 

Each vendor must also complete a background screening and provide a copy of its Certificate of Insurance designating the Town of Wake Forest as an additional insured for the event date and a copy of automobile liability insurance. A minimum of $1 million in insurance is required for both.

• We strive to ensure fair and equitable vending opportunities for interested vendors throughout the event season.
• Priority is typically given to vendors based in the Wake Forest area and those with silent generators.
• It is our goal to offer a variety of cuisine options at each event.
• Participating vendors are required to have all necessary permits to serve in Wake County.
• Each Mobile Food Unit asked to participate at an event must provide a copy of their Certificate of Insurance showing the Town of Wake Forest as an additional insured for the event date(s). A minimum of $1 million in general liability insurance is required along with a minimum of $1 million in automobile liability insurance.
• There typically is a vendor fee associated with participation at events.
