Wake Forest voters elected Commissioner Ben Clapsaddle mayor defeating six-term incumbent Vivian Jones. Newcomer Haseeb Fatmi was elected to the Board of Commissioners (BOC), while Keith Shackleford was re-elected.
Clapsaddle garnered 7,598 votes (70.6%) compared with 3,135 votes for Jones (29.1%).
Among the BOC candidates, Fatmi won the most support with 5,731 votes (27.6%), followed by Shackleford with 5,404 votes (26%).
