Fee Assistance Program

The Town of Wake Forest provides a Fee Assistance Program to help Wake Forest residents experiencing financial hardship participate in programs at the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging (WFCAA).

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Programs must be offered through the WFCAA or an approved contract provider at the WFCAA.
  • Proof of financial need is required, such as:
    • Documentation showing the member receives assistance through a Social Services-approved program, or
    • Verification of other qualifying income-based support.
  • Participant must be a Wake Forest resident. Assistance is not available for non-Wake Forest residents or non-WFCAA programs.
  • Assistance is limited to two programs per person per fiscal year (July - June).

 

Eligible Programs

Fitness Classes (Yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba Gold, etc.)

  • 75% fee assistance
  • 25% participant payment
  • Two slots per person per fiscal year
     

Art and Enrichment Classes (Painting, Crafts, Technology Workshops, etc.)

  • 75% fee assistance
  • 25% participant payment
  • Two slots per person per fiscal year
     

Senior Games & Trips 

  • 75% fee assistance
  • 25% participant payment
  • Limited availability per event

The WFCAA Scholarship Program is a Wake Forest Cares initiative.
