- The PRCR Department will host its second annual Diwali Festival on Saturday, Nov. 1, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
- Free and open to everyone, the Diwali Festival will feature enchanting music, vibrant dance performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, and a henna tattoo artist.
- Festival goers are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets.
WAKE FOREST, NC – The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host its second annual Diwali Festival on Saturday, Nov. 1, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
Free and open to everyone, the Diwali Festival will feature enchanting music, vibrant dance performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, and a henna tattoo artist.
The following food trucks are scheduled to be onsite throughout the afternoon: Angadi, Annapurna Indian Kitchen, Soul’s Kitchen, and Playa Bowls.
Festival goers are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets but are reminded that alcoholic beverages, unleashed pets, and grills of any kind are prohibited.
Diwali is India’s biggest and most cherished festival of the year. Known as the “Festival of Lights,” Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, showcasing the indomitable human spirit.
