On Monday, Sept. 22, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Raleigh Water will close the far-right northbound lane along South Main Street/US 1A from Star Road to just past Wake Drive. The lane closure is necessary to allow crews to replace a damaged ring and manhole cover along the 2100 block of South Main Street/US 1A.
Signage and cones will be in place managing traffic flow and safely directing motorists through the work area. Delays are expected, so drivers may wish to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
