Emergency personnel are on the scene of a ruptured gas line along the 700 block of North White Street – near the intersection of East Perry Avenue. The gas line was ruptured by a road resurfacing crew working in the area.
Due to the ruptured gas line, traffic is blocked along North White Street. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and choose an alternate route.
Officials are monitoring the affected area for safety considerations. No evacuations have been ordered at this time.
Enbridge Gas crews are responding and will seal off the leak, but there is no timetable on when the road will reopen.
