Beginning Monday, Sept. 1, the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will accept online and in-person Youth Basketball League registrations for boys ages 5-17 and girls ages 5-13 according to the following schedule:

  • September 1-7 - Wake Forest residents only
  • September 8-21 - Wake Forest residents & non-Wake Forest residents
  • September 22-30 - Late registration, including a $15 late fee (if league spots are still available).

Online registration will be available at https://bit.ly/WFTeamSideline, along with team placement and draft information and league rules. In-person registrations will also be accepted at Joyner Park Community Center (JPCC), 701 Harris Road; Flaherty Park Community Center (FPCC), 1226 N. White St.; and Alston-Massenburg Center (AMC), 416 N. Taylor St.

Anyone without computer access is invited to register by using the computer kiosk in the lobby of Joyner Park Community Center, 701 Harris Road, or Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St.

The registration fee is $60 for residents who live within the Wake Forest corporate limits and $100 for anyone who lives outside the town’s corporate limits.

New participants will be required to provide a birth certificate. A participant’s eligibility is determined by his or her age on December 31, 2025.

Please note: Some age groups may fill before September 22. In such instances, a wait list will be created and available to those who register for an age group that is filled. While a wait list does not guarantee team placement, it provides a way to reserve a spot in our first-in/first-out registration process. Wait list registrants are the first to be contacted, in the event availability does occur.

Team practices will begin in mid to late October and games will be played from December through February. For more information, contact Recreation Specialist Erica Shingleton at 919-435-9457 or eshingleton@wakeforestnc.gov.
