The Wake Forest Police Department, Wake Forest Fire Department, Wake County Emergency Medical Services and first responders from several neighboring communities will participate in a routine training exercise on Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. The exercise will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m.

In addition, several emergency vehicles and personnel will be on site throughout the exercise. Their presence will be part of the training scenario and no cause for alarm.

Finally, sounds resembling small arms gunfire may be heard during the exercise. Such sounds will be part of the training scenario and will not be cause for alarm.
