Designed to blend in with current Joyner Park structures and the natural habitat, the 32,000-square-foot facility features a walking track, gymnasium for basketball, volleyball and pickleball, multi-purpose rooms, dance studio and kitchen.
The facility has been constructed in a manner consistent with the park's natural beauty and rustic feel.
Joyner Park is comprised of 117 acres - 84 of which are currently being used. The new facility was constructed on a portion of the park's 33 remaining acres.

Both Wake Forest residents and non-residents ages 11 and older must have a Recreation Card (RecCard) to access amenities offered at PRCR facilities, including the Joyner Park Community Center (JPCC) and Flaherty Park Community Center (FPCC).
Although RecCards are free for Wake Forest residents, the following fees apply for people who live outside the Wake Forest town limits and do not pay Wake Forest property taxes: Individual, $25; Family, $50; Drop-in fee, $5.
The Wake County Board of Elections selected Joyner Park Community Center (JPCC), 701 Harris Road, as one of 18 early voting sites in Wake County October 15-31. During this period, any eligible Wake County voter may vote at the JPCC or any other Wake County Early Voting location.
Individual voting enclosures will be erected inside the JPCC gymnasium for Wake County voters wishing to cast their ballot ahead of the November 3 General Election. To accommodate the early voting period and allow sufficient time to set up and breakdown the voting enclosures and other related equipment, the JPCC gym and walking track will be closed from Thursday, Oct. 8, through Monday, Nov. 2.
PLEASE NOTE: Beginning Thursday, Oct. 8, and continuing through Monday, Nov. 2, Flaherty Park Community Center (FPCC), 1226 N. White St., will offer indoor walking opportunities for RecCard holders on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from noon-2 p.m.
