Weather permitting, a contractor working on behalf of the NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will temporarily close a portion of Ligon Mill Road at the intersection of US 401 and Ligon Mill Road on Monday, July 29, at 7 p.m. The closure is necessary to allow crews to install a drainage pipe under US 401.
The road will remain closed until the work is completed which is expected by the end of the week.
Transportation officials advise drivers to plan for potential delays in the area, remind drivers to remain alert and obey all posted traffic signs in the work zone.
